About the Role
As a Physical Therapist in Early Childhood Intervention you will provide mobile therapy services to preschool-age children in natural learning environments (homes preschools community settings). Youll work with a collaborative team to support child development gross motor skills and functional independence through play-based relationship-centered intervention.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations of young children in natural environments
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each childs developmental needs and family goals
Provide direct physical therapy services focused on gross motor development functional mobility and independence
Utilize play-based and relationship-centered strategies appropriate for early childhood
Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support child development in daily routines
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (teachers speech therapists occupational therapists etc.)
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with early intervention program requirements
Participate in team meetings and case conferences
Manage caseload within assigned geographic service territory
Requirements
Licensure (Required):
Active New York State Physical Therapy License (required)
Education:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Masters Degree in Physical Therapy or related field preferred
Experience (Preferred):
0-30 years of experience considered
Experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred
Background in early childhood intervention or early childhood development beneficial
English language proficiency required
Work Details
Location: Rochester NY and surrounding suburbs (Monroe County Erie County surrounding counties)
Service Territory: Restricted to small localized geographic area (manageable caseload)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (your choice)
Remote Status: Partially Remote (mobile/on-the-road throughout service area)

Hourly Rate: $60.00 $70.00 per hour (based on experience)
