Location: Hybrid role based in Pittsburgh PA with 3 days working from home each week and in-office collaboration as needed.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and have at least 1 year of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is strongly preferred and admission to the Ohio and/or West Virginia bars is a plus.

Job Description

• Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Work on cases involving auto liability premises liability construction litigation product liability insurance coverage and related defense matters
• Draft pleadings motions discovery legal memoranda and case evaluations
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with supervising attorneys and partners
• Manage discovery prepare witnesses and participate in depositions hearings mediations arbitrations and trial preparation
• Communicate with clients carriers opposing counsel experts and court personnel
• Take ownership of files while receiving guidance from experienced litigation attorneys
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on professionalism responsiveness and strong client outcomes

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Pennsylvania Bar admission required
• 1 year of civil litigation experience required
• Experience with insurance defense auto liability premises liability construction litigation product liability or insurance coverage preferred
• Ability to handle litigation tasks from case inception through resolution
• Strong legal research writing analytical and communication skills
• Ohio and/or West Virginia Bar admission is a plus
• Writing sample required
