Position Overview:
You will serve as the on-site Security Specialist and primary Global Security representative at Polariss Huntsville Alabama manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Site Security Manager and matrixed to plant operations you will help protect people facilities and assets through consistent application of security standards systems and processes. You will work across functions to build shared ownership of security while exercising sound judgment in sensitive and dynamic situations. This role is a compelling opportunity because it offers direct site-level ownership broad stakeholder exposure and meaningful impact at one of Polariss largest manufacturing locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance of contracted security personnel to ensure professionalism compliance with post orders and adherence to Polaris Global Security standards directives and post orders.

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with EHS HR Legal Facilities D&IT operations and site leadership to support a culture of shared security responsibility.

  • Serve as site-level product owner for physical security and incident management systems (Ontic Pro-Watch Milestone FacilityOS) ensuring system integrity user access governance and audit readiness.

  • Respond to security incidents conduct preliminary investigations gather statements preserve evidence and produce accurate legally defensible documentation.

  • Conduct routine inspections and walkthroughs of facilities perimeters access controls and critical assets to identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical risk mitigations.

  • Coordinate and support physical security projects vendor activities compliance initiatives and site readiness for technology upgrades led by Global Security.

  • Deliver security orientations refresher training and awareness sessions tailored to site needs and emerging risks.

  • Coordinate with local state and federal law enforcement agencies in alignment with Global Security investigative legal and brand protection priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in security management criminal justice or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of relevant professional experience in security investigations or a related field.

  • Demonstrated sound judgment discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information and managing incidents.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Prior corporate security of law enforcement experience at the local state or federal level.

  • Experience overseeing or working with contracted security personnel or service providers.

  • Hands-on experience with physical security systems such as access control video management or intrusion detection.

  • Familiarity with project coordination and working with cross-functional stakeholders in a corporate or industrial environment.
