Job Summary
Overview
The Research Assistant II will provide research and administrative support to department studies and Institute initiatives. The incumbent will assist with recruitment of research patients maintain a good working knowledge of study protocols and adhere to all protocol requirements perform data entry and database tasks coordinate and schedule program and research-related meetings and create reports and data visualizations.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with recruitment of patients with psychiatric disorders and developmental disabilities such as anxiety disorders and autism spectrum disorders as well as healthy control children establishing contacts with various community sources and distributing study materials.
2. Assist in screening affected and control patients for study enrollment.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date research records for study databases. Ensure appropriate data quality assurance procedures are implemented and adhered to troubleshooting as needed.
4. Provide administrative support including but not limited to scheduling meetings for clinicians researchers and staff; filing; organizing; typing; formatting; proofreading and copyediting research and program materials; creating PowerPoint presentations and data visualizations.
5. Update existing recruitment literature (brochures information packets posters WebPages) and create similar documents for new research protocols as they arise.
6. Assist with literature reviews manuscript preparation and submission of National Institutes of Health (NIH) and/or private foundations grant applications.
7. Assist in administration of psychiatric and psychological tests and eye tracking protocols as well as obtaining mock and real Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) scans.
8. Attend meetings involved with research grants contracts faculty committees coordination and administration. Take meeting minutes and distribute minutes post-meeting.
9. Assist with organizing and scheduling lectures for supported programs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience with research design statistical analysis and test scoring preferred.
Previous administrative support experience preferred.
