Job Description
This position serves as the general/informational phone line receptionist and is responsible for receiving and screening visitors routing telephone calls to appropriate office staff and providing directional assistance to addition the position involves handling politically sensitive phone calls; handling confidential material; opening distributing and logging the Directors mail in Customer Relations Management (CRM); timekeeping duties; receiving and distributing incoming mail; trouble shooting and general maintenance of the sections multipurpose machines (e.g. copy printing scanning faxing etc.); scheduling meetings and conference rooms; proofreading correspondence; and ordering office supplies. Other functions include providing basic administrative support functions for the Executive Assistants of the Department Executive Team (DET) as needed. This position requires possession of a valid drivers license to ensure routine maintenance is completed on office fleet vehicles.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (5) level through the maximum rate at the experience (E7) level. Based on education and experience candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Required Education and Experience

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
General Office Assistant 5
No specific type or amount of experience is required.
General Office Assistant 6
One year of administrative support experience.
General Office Assistant E7
Two years of administrative support experience including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
