The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially astute and relationship-driven State Key Account Manager to manage a geographical zone of Victoria and Tasmania key accounts at a state level focusing on Tyre & Service Chains and OED groups.
Reporting to the National Key Account Managers this role is pivotal in executing national strategy at a state level strengthening customer partnerships and driving sales growth and share of wallet.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and execute national key account strategies across your allocated states
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key account stakeholders including State Managers Operations Managers Area Managers and multi-site operators
- Drive sales margin and own-brand growth across your portfolio
- Identify and convert new business product and project opportunities
- Champion digital connectivity and B2B solutions with customers
- Facilitate state key account meetings and attend conferences trade shows and sales meetings
- Collaborate with State Trade Sales Managers Regional Managers Store Managers and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
- Monitor market trends risks and competitor activity within your region
- Maintain accurate CRM reporting and provide weekly/monthly performance updates
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S and company policies
- Interstate travel will be required
About You
You are a highly visible and proactive sales professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships and delivering commercial results.
To be successful you will bring:
- Minimum 5 years experience in Sales or Account Management (automotive industry preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts
- Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience analysing sales data and generating reports
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred) and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong time management and ability to manage competing priorities
- Mechanical aptitude (preferred)
- A collaborative team-focused approach with a self-starter mindset
