About the role:

We areseekinga dynamic and motivated Clinical Nurse (Education) with a passion for clinical teaching and facilitation. Our ideal candidate will join our Education Team at St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba. This is a permanent full time role of 24hours education and then CN hours up to a total of 76 hours per fortnight.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager & Education Manager the Clinical Nurse (Education) is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for promoting clinical excellence and staff development. This role supports the departments vision of delivering evidence-based care through continuous learning and professional growth by addressing both organisational and learners needs.

You willbe responsible forall aspects of education and training within responsibilities will further include providing excellent person-centred development of staff assessment of clinical skillsassistingwith clinical education events and support other education activities within the hospital in close collaboration with other members of the clinical education team.

St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 191-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical surgical maternity paediatric emergency cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathologyradiologyand pharmacy are also available on site and our emergency department is open 24 hours seven days a week.

Things that work for us:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • More than 5 years clinical experience in relevant work area.

  • Demonstrated clinical leadership abilities and strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated experience in an education or clinical facilitation role is desirable

  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment (current) is highly desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education in a healthcare setting or working towards same is highly desirable
