Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Ashfield to assist with the appointment of a Housing Officer on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 19.75 - 26.05 per hour

Summary:

Experienced Housing Officer required to manage a patch of social housing properties and deliver tenancy and estate management services. The role includes tenancy sustainment ASB investigations estate inspections supporting vulnerable tenants and working with partner agencies to ensure effective housing management and community safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patch of social housing tenancies and associated casework
  • Deliver tenancy and estate management services in line with policies and performance targets
  • Investigate tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour complaints
  • Prepare witness statements legal documentation and attend court where required
  • Process tenancy-related applications including successions assignments joint tenancies and transfers

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within Housing Management or Tenancy Services
  • Experience managing tenancy and estate management casework
  • Knowledge of tenancy legislation anti-social behaviour processes and housing management practices
  • Experience investigating ASB and tenancy breaches
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports witness statements and legal documentation
  • Experience working with vulnerable tenants and multi-agency partners
  • Good IT and record management skills

  • This role requires a Basic DBS
