Here at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) we are looking for energetic and dedicated Soccer Camp Coaches to join our team!
Program runs June 22 2026 June 26 2026; Full-Day program are 7 hours per day.
Salary for these positions is commensurate with experience and will range from $265 - $800/week.
- High School or College Coach (full day)
- Current College Athlete (full day)
- Graduating High School Senior Athlete (full day)
- High School Athlete (half day)
The Playbook: Your Daily Impact
As a member of our camp staff you are the engine that keeps the camp running.
- Lead the Action: Plan develop and supervise soccer activities and events for campers.
- Stay Agile: Assist with the setup and implementation of various sport activities throughout the week.
- Manage the Field: Take responsibility for organized camper check-in and check-out procedures.
- Safety First: Identify and respond to potential hazards report all emergencies or injuries to the director and follow campus Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
- Maintain the Environment: Keep the program environment safe clean and positive for every participant.

We need teammates who bring both skill and heart to the field. You should demonstrate:
- Teamwork & Independence: The ability to work seamlessly as a team member while also taking independent initiative.
- Effective Communication: Clear communication with co-workers and supervisors regarding program needs challenges and successes.
- Soccer IQ: Extensive knowledge of soccer activities specifically designed for children ages 515.
- Professionalism: Acting as a mature representative of UMF when interacting with the general public.
- Relationship Building: The ability to establish effective working relationships with staff participants and the public.
- Active Engagement: A constant willingness to participate in all areas of the program with a positive attitude.
The Scouting Report: Qualifications
To join our roster you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Students currently enrolled in high school are eligible to apply for the half-day program (must have appropriate work permit as applicable)
- Experience: A background in playing soccer at the high school level or above or experience working with youth in an athletic camp setting or has served as a coach.
