About the role:

Reporting to the LAC Region CEO and Global Head of Accident and Health the Head of A&H LATAM will be responsible for the growth execution and profitability of the LATAM A&H strategy. This role will be responsible for underwriting discipline in the region and translating product strategy to deliver locally while maintaining global standards. The Head of A&H LATAM will play a pivotal role in expanding and accelerating the Partnership pipeline and will also be accountable for implementing a new distribution channel of inwards facultative reinsurance from LATAM into Miami.

How you will create an impact

• Accountable for leading the development expansion and profitability of A&H Product strategy driving sustainable premium growth across LATAM while adhering to A&H global standards and fulfilling all legal and regulatory obligations.

• Identify market opportunities and expansion initiatives to accelerate and significantly grow the current Partnership pipeline across LATAM whilst monitoring the competitor landscape and ensuring disciplined risk selection.

• Establish and implement a new distribution channel of inwards facultative reinsurance from LATAM countries into Miami. Define the strategy and maximise the opportunity within the market building networks of distribution throughout the region and delivering meaningful growth within the segments of appetite for AIG.

• Build a multi partner structure for A&H operational requirements with TPAs both digital and traditional through collaboration with internal and external partners and key stakeholders. Accountable for implementing an optimal model and seamless integration.

• Lead and develop a high performing team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and inclusion.

What youll need to succeed

• Extensive understanding of insurance markets with A&H expertise and existing strong market relationships.

• Proven strategic leadership skills able to develop a bold vision and translate strategies into tangible objectives to execute efficiently.

• Experience of building strategic relationships and alliances with key external stakeholders within and outside of Latin America influencing decisions and building consensus to advance the organizations objectives and enhance the growth potential of the company within the region.

• Ability to work across interdisciplinary teams that are geographically dispersed and cultivating a network of collaborative relationships in an international matrix environment.

• Digital fluency and demonstrable understanding of digital ecosystems in the context of insurance opportunities.

• Strong business transformation expertise and analytical / quantitative skills.
