About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of HR Operations to lead enterprise HR infrastructure systems and total rewards strategy within a fast-paced automotive organization. This leader will be responsible for scaling HR operations driving transformation and ensuring operational excellence across a complex and evolving business environment.

This role requires a strong blend of strategic leadership technical HR expertise and hands-on operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale HR Operations across the organization with a focus on efficiency compliance and scalability
• Oversee Total Rewards strategy including compensation and benefits design and execution
• Drive HR systems strategy including HRIS payroll systems implementation optimization and integration
• Lead HR analytics reporting and data-driven decision-making initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal policies audits and all applicable employment regulations
• Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business growth objectives
• Build lead and develop senior-level HR teams in a high-performance culture
• Champion HR transformation initiatives in a fast-growing dynamic environment

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree required; Masters degree or MBA strongly preferred
• Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience with deep subject matter expertise in:
  • Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits)
  • HR Systems (HRIS payroll implementation and optimization)
  • HR audit compliance and operational governance
• Minimum 10 years of HR leadership experience at Director level or above
• Proven experience leading HR Operations within fast-paced high-growth or transformation-driven environments (automotive or manufacturing strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated success scaling HR infrastructure in complex organizations
• Strong business acumen with the ability to operate strategically while maintaining hands-on execution

Work Environment & Location Requirements

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Charlotte NC metro area
• This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week in the office with 1 remote workday permitted
• Must be able to work in a collaborative on-site leadership environment
