Location: Kalamazoo Michigan
Contract Duration: 20 Weeks
Schedule:

• Monday Wednesday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Tuesday Thursday: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a 20-week contract assignment in Kalamazoo MI. This role supports both front and back office operations while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical and administrative skills excellent communication abilities and a patient-focused approach to care. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively with providers clinical staff and patients across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support both front and back office clinical operations
• Greet room and assist patients during appointments
• Schedule patient appointments and manage incoming calls
• Take and document patient vital signs accurately
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures
• Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
• Conduct EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing
• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems
• Provide additional clinical support as needed
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff
• Ensure a positive patient experience through professionalism and communication

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
• 23 years of overall healthcare experience preferred
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Occupational Health experience strongly preferred
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required
• EMR experience required
• BLS or CPR Certification required
• Strong communication computer and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced patient-focused environment
