Shift:

• Night Shift 3x12 Hour Shifts
• 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Watertown NY. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency and critical care experience and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-acuity clinical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions
• Assess monitor and stabilize patients in emergency situations
• Administer medications IV therapy and emergency treatments as ordered
• Recognize and intervene promptly in life-threatening situations
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with patient safety infection control and emergency care protocols
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed

Requirements:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• PALS Certification (Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Experience with MEDITECH required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Critical Care and Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation period
• Defibrillation certification required within 6 months of employment
• IV therapy medication administration and phlebotomy competency required during orientation
