About the role:
As the Technical Product Owner for the SiteReliabilityEngineering (SRE)team you willbe responsible fordefining prioritizing and delivering reliability-focused initiatives that ensure the scalability availability and performance of our platforms and services. You will work closely with SREs engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into actionable work championing best practices in reliability automation and operational excellence.Youwillalsoprovide project leadership supporting reliability service delivery includingmanagement of key initiatives needed to scale and enhance our practicesanddelivery oversightforSRE scrum teams.
Key responsibilities:
Identifyand prioritize developer pain points using qualitative and quantitative signals with the focus on impact.
Translate platform / SRE needsintoclear product requirements and priorities.
Define and track success metrics such as developer productivity reliability and cost efficiency.
Run discovery through developer interviews Dev Experience surveys support interruptions incident reviews and platform metrics (e.g.DORA CI/CD reliability).
Lead migrations and deprecations with empathy clarity and consistency.
Oversee delivery of SRE key initiatives managing project timelines riskscommunicationand collaboration with stakeholders.
Work with SREs and engineers to ensuretimelydelivery of initiatives removing blockers andfacilitatingagile ceremonies (standups planning retrospectives)
Required Skills & Experience:
2 - 4 years working as Product Owner Technical Product Manager or similar role in Platform environments.
Proven experience as a Product Owner Technical Product Manager or similar role in a software engineering environment.
Strong understanding of SRE principles DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with monitoring alerting incident management and automation tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana PagerDuty Terraform etc.).
Deep understanding of product management methodologies especially SCRUM.
Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
Excellent communication organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Technical background (e.g. former engineer SRE or similar) is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts such as SLIs SLOs and error budgets.
Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure) or agile methodologies.
Scrum Certification (Product Owner Scrum Master etc.)
Project management experiencea plus.
