Position Summary

The Director of Marketing for Chelsea Piers Connecticut is responsible for driving top-line revenue growth through the execution of a unified strategic marketing approach across all business lines. This role leads day to day marketing strategy and execution across fitness sports camps events memberships and partnerships ensuring alignment with sales goals business priorities and overall performance targets.

This individual serves as the central point of accountability for all marketing in Connecticut and is responsible for marketing performance and results across the business. They own local marketing execution while working in close alignment with Sales Sports and Finance leadership. The Director of Marketing partners with Chelsea Piers New York to align on brand and broader initiatives while ensuring the Connecticut business has the focus speed and support needed to drive results. This role directly oversees the Connecticut-based marketing team member and serves as a core member of the Connecticut executive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth and Strategic Marketing

  • Execute a comprehensive revenue-driven marketing strategy across all business lines
  • Align marketing efforts with sales goals sports programming priorities and budget targets to drive measurable revenue impact in close partnership with Sports Sales and Finance
  • Assess the Connecticut marketing landscape and recommend how marketing should operate to best support the business
  • Establish clear priorities workflows and timelines to drive execution and accountability
  • Translate business priorities into campaigns that drive measurable results

Integrated Marketing Across the Connecticut Business

  • Lead marketing execution across fitness memberships sports programs camps leagues events and partnerships
  • Partner directly with the central New York marketing team VP of Sports and VP of Fitness to align brand campaigns programming and demand with overall business priorities
  • Ensure marketing efforts are aligned with programming capacity and business priorities across all verticals
  • Ensure marketing efforts directly support participation revenue and overall business results
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure consistent messaging and execution
  • Partnerships and Sponsorships- Collaborate with Sales to ensure partners receive strong visibility and value

Brand and Demand Generation

  • Execute brand strategy and ensure consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Manage content digital marketing and campaign execution across Connecticut
  • Oversee Connecticut digital user experience including website content landing pages SEO/SEM strategy and conversion optimization
  • Work closely with the New York marketing team to support and execute Connecticuts portion of paid media CRM and lifecycle marketing efforts
  • Own all in-building marketing including signage digital screens and on-site messaging to drive awareness and revenue
  • Ensure strong positioning of Chelsea Piers Connecticut within the local market
  • Develop and execute local community and partnership marketing strategies to stengthen brand awareness drive engagement and increase participation across Connecticut

Customer Growth and Retention

  • Own the full marketing funnel across fitness sports teams leagues classes camps events parties and all core business lines
  • Partner with Sales Sports and Operations to drive acquisition participation and lifetime value
  • Execute strategies to grow and retain customers across memberships sports camps and leagues
  • Use data and reporting to continuously optimize performance

Connecticut Execution and Platform Alignment

  • Own day to day marketing execution for Chelsea Piers Connecticut
  • Partner with Chelsea Piers New York to align on brand standards and key initiatives
  • Leverage the broader platform where it adds value while ensuring Connecticut priorities are met
  • Provide feedback and insights from Connecticut to inform broader strategy

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Directly oversee and develop the Connecticut-based marketing team member ensuring clear priorities accountability and performance
  • Work closely with Sales Sports and Finance to ensure coordinated execution
  • Build a culture of collaboration urgency and results
  • Ensure strong communication and follow through across all initiatives
  • Manage Conecticut marketing budgets and allocate resources strategically to maximize performance and return on investment

Status:Full-Time Exempt

Schedule:In-Person at Chelsea Piers in Stamford CT

Compensation:$80000 - $100000 per year depending on experience

Qualifications
  • 710 years of marketing experience in sports fitness hospitality or multi revenue environments
  • Proven ability to execute marketing strategies that drive revenue and growth
  • Experience working across multiple business lines and teams
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing CRM and analytics
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail
