Linehaul Driver

Symons Clark Logistics is a 150 year old family owned Port Adelaide based transport and logistics company. Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing container pack/unpack distribution over-dimensional heavy haulage project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

As a Linehaul Driver you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across interstate routes primarily operating B-Doubles. While your regular route may include runs between Adelaide and Melbourne Sydney Western Australia North Queensland or Brisbane routes may vary from time to time based on operational requirements.

What you will be doing

• Working a 10 on 4 off roster.
• Operating B-Doubles for the transportation of general freight.
• Ensuring correct load restraint and safety practices using dogs chains and ratchet straps.
• Ensuring vehicle and equipment is kept in a safe working condition.
• Providing excellent customer service during delivery addressing customer queries or concerns professionally.
• Adhering to time management practices to meet delivery schedules.
• Comply with all relevant road and safety regulations throughout the journey.
• On occasion routes may change based on operational requirements.

Do you have

• A valid Multi-Combination (MC) licence (unrestricted) with demonstrated experience.
• Strong load restraint skills and knowledge of safe transport practices.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) and associated regulations (advantageous).
• Current Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work independently and manage your responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills for direct interaction with clients.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safety.

Additional Information

• Successful applicants will be required to complete a Fit to Drive Medical Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
• We will provide all relevant onsite training.
• Option to work additional hours and/or weekends.
