About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven educator to join our program as a 2IC / Educational Leader.

This role is the perfect balance of leadership creativity and impact. You will work alongside the Nominated Supervisor and team to deliver a high-quality inclusive program while mentoring educators and supporting the day-to-day operations of the service.

Youll play a key role in:

  • Leading and supporting an engaging educational program
  • Mentoring and guiding educators
  • Building strong relationships with families and the school community
  • Supporting compliance Child Safe Standards and service quality
  • Stepping into the Nominated Supervisor role when required

Morning (Before School Care)

You might start your day welcoming students into a calm supportive environment setting up activities connecting with families and ensuring everyone starts their day feeling safe and ready.

Program & Leadership Time

Throughout the day youll collaborate with the team to plan and refine engaging experiences anything from sensory play cooking art or community-based activities. Youll mentor educators support documentation and contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan.

Afternoon (After School Care)

This is where the magic happens students arrive energy lifts and the program comes to life. Youll:

  • Facilitate play and activities
  • Support students with diverse needs
  • Encourage social connection and independence
  • Guide educators in delivering meaningful interactions

Connection & Reflection

Youll liaise with families and school staff support team briefings and reflect on the program always thinking about how to make it even better.

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma in Childrens Services (or equivalent)
  • Experience in OSHC education and/or disability sector
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to mentor and guide a team
  • Strong understanding of legislation and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as My Time Our Place (desirable)
  • Experience with Xplor or similar systems (desirable)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Safety Screening Requirements

Prospective candidates will need to undergo a series of safety screening checks before being appointed to any position at IOE. Our recruitment procedures reflect our commitment to the safety of the people we support. Safety screening includes:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Employment Working with Children Check

In addition the successful applicant will be required to undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
