About the Role
You will teach English across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons in both English Language and English Literature.
Students will study a broad range of prose poetry drama and non-fiction texts while developing interpretation discussion and analytical writing skills.
You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations supporting them in developing exam technique critical thinking and independent learning skills.
You will work collaboratively within the department to maintain high standards of teaching and curriculum delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Deliver lessons in English Language and Literature
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations
Assess student work and provide detailed feedback
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Promote literacy reading and enrichment opportunities
Support extracurricular activities such as debate theatre or writing clubs
