Star Nursing has an Urgent Need for a Certified Radiology Technologist (CRT) Maricopa County AZ
Facility: 4th Ave Jail
Additional Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel to Watkins Jail and Lower Buckeye Jail as needed
Location: Phoenix Arizona
Shifts:
1 PRN Opening
1 Week on/Week off Contract Opening
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Commitment: Minimum 13-week assignment
Pay Rates:
Local: $37/hr.
Travel: $27/hr.
Travel no housing: $16/hr. (taxable) $920/week (tax-free)
Service Description:
Performs diagnostic radiology services within a correctional healthcare setting. Takes quality medical X-rays ordered by medical providers and ensures proper imaging techniques are followed. Must be knowledgeable in digital X-ray equipment image processing patient positioning radiation safety practices and maintenance of appropriate records and documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform diagnostic X-rays as ordered by medical providers
Operate and maintain digital radiology equipment
Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety procedures
Maintain accurate imaging documentation and patient records
Follow correctional healthcare and facility protocols
Communicate effectively with healthcare staff regarding imaging needs
Travel between assigned correctional facilities as needed
Maintain compliance with all credentialing and security requirements
Supporting Documentation and Qualifications
Current valid unrestricted CRT certification issued by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
Current valid unrestricted certification issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
Current completed Primary Source Verifications (PSVs) through:

- ARRT:
Current completed N95 fit testing
Minimum one year of recent CRT experience preferred
Correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required - ARRT:

Step #1 Security and Background Clearance
Complete MCSO Application for Courtesy Identification
Sign PREA Acknowledgement (Zero Tolerance Policy)
Submit to Criminal History and Warrants Check
Complete Fingerprinting appointment with Maricopa County Sheriffs Office
Must be at least 18 years of age
No sexually related offenses
Minimum one year since completion of probation parole or incarceration
No drivers license suspension within the past year
Must disclose if a known person is incarcerated within the jail system
Step #2 Health and Immunization Requirements
Current TB test (Skin test QuantiFERON T-Spot or Chest X-Ray)
Hepatitis B vaccination series titer or signed declination
MMR vaccination documentation or titer
Varicella vaccination documentation titer or attestation of past infection
American Heart Association BLS/CPR (In-Person)
Step #3 Physical and Workplace Requirements
Ability to perform CPR chest compressions
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
Ability to push equipment and climb stairs
Commitment to assigned schedule for the duration of the contract
Signed Drug-Free Workplace Attestation
Signed Physical Performance Attestation
Step #4 Additional Requirements
Compliance with jail dress code and prohibited item policy
No personal cell phones or smart devices allowed in secure areas
Badge must be worn at all times once issued
ASRS Retirement disclosure if applicable
All onboarding documentation must be submitted at least 10 working days prior to start date
