Job Summary

McLaren Bay Region is recruiting General Surgeon for Hospital call coverage.

Job Details:
Coverage type: Hospital Call
Coverage details: Level 3 Trauma center. Call covers in hospital consults ED trauma and general surgery call and transfer call center patients
Patient per day: 5-8 consults per 24-hour call
Number of providers in the clinic and on-site services (lab radiology procedure room): Current 1 app floor rounder. all DI capabilities excluding barium enema or esophageal / swallow studies
Current EHR System: Cerner

General Surgical Cases ADULT
General Surgical Cases TRAUMA
Central Line Insertion
Chest Tube Insertion
Abdominal
Vascular Access Devices
Cholecystectomy
Rates to Submit:
Orientation Must be of the call back rate
24hr On Call - Must include 6 hours of gratis hours/patient contact
Holiday on Call - 1.5X the regular rate
Call back
Holiday Call back 1.5X the regular rate
Conversion fee
Expenses covered by client will not exceed the limitations listed in the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care & AHSA.
McLaren does NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
No lodging booked through 3rd party websites i.e. Expedia kayak etc.
McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging

*Site uses reverse billing - provider must clock in/out using DocTime - no timesheets will be approved.

Requirement description : ALL MUST BE NOTATED AT TIME OF NAME CLEAR
Board Certified in General Surgery - REQUIRED
Must have an active MI license - REQUIRED at a time of name clear. will not accept IMLC.
Must be local - drive in candidates - REQUIRED no FLIGHT
DEA - Verbal Confirmation Required at Name Clear - REQUIRED
Must submit rates following the rate structure at the time of name clear - REQUIRED - will not submit without the rates
Copy of the NPDB self-query requires at presentation (Should be pulled within 30 days) - REQUIRED
