About the Role
NTT is seeking a bilingual MES Issue Management Specialist to support the launch and stabilization of Panasonics EV battery manufacturing factory in Kansas. This is a high-impact onsite role focused on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) support issue resolution production stabilization and coordination between Japanese and local engineering teams.
The factory is currently in its launch phase and experiencing multiple production and system integration challenges. The selected consultant will play a critical role in identifying issues coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation and operations.
- Identify manufacturing and system-related issues impacting production.
- Coordinate with engineering manufacturing IT and quality teams to drive issue resolution.
- Define response plans operational procedures and system requirements.
- Document issues corrective actions and workflow improvements.
- Support line automation and manufacturing traceability initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between Japanese expatriates and local Kansas-based employees.
- Work closely with stakeholders to stabilize production processes during factory ramp-up.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual communication skills in Japanese and English (business level or higher).
- Strong ability to build relationships with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to analyze production/system issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
- Background in manufacturing system implementation projects.
- Experience defining system requirements and operational workflows.
- Familiarity with factory automation and production traceability systems.
- Experience supporting EV automotive electronics or large-scale manufacturing operations is a plus.
