Play an integral role in shaping how major energy and infrastructure projects connect with communities governments and industry this role you will sit at the intersection of project delivery and public trustensuring that Worleys work is understood supported and aligned with the communities we serve.

You will be responsible for leading stakeholder engagement strategies that go beyond communicationbuilding durable relationships navigating complex political and cultural landscapes and reinforcing Worleys reputation as a transparent responsible and forward-thinking partner.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

In partnership with our key customers you will play a critical role in building trust and meaningful relationships with local communities Indigenous stakeholders government entities and industry partners. This position ensures that project execution aligns with community expectations while maintaining Worleys social license to operate.

You will serve as a senior representative of Worleysomeone who can confidently engage across a wide spectrum of audiences from tribal leadership and elected officials to industry executiveswhile remaining grounded in project realities execution strategy and long-term community impact.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead the development and execution of inclusive engagement strategies that foster open transparent communication with local communities and stakeholders.

Represent Worley in meetings with elected officials tribal leadership and community groupsbalancing technical project knowledge with cultural and social awareness.

Navigate complex stakeholder environments including Alaska Native communities ensuring respectful informed and effective engagement.

Participate in both formal and informal engagements (public forums private meetings community events) recognizing that trust is often built outside structured settings.

Government & Industry Relations

Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.

Demonstrate working knowledge of regional political dynamics including relationships between local borough state and Indigenous leadership structures.

Support industry engagement efforts by representing Worleys capabilities experience and execution philosophy to partners and vendors.

Facilitate introductions and connections between stakeholders clients and project teams to support alignment and delivery.

Public Communications & Representation

Act as a visible and credible voice for the project in media engagements public forums and industry events.

Ensure all communications reflect transparency cultural awareness and alignment with Worleys sustainability commitments.

Prepare for and respond to a broad range of stakeholder questionsspanning workforce development environmental impact tax considerations and project execution.

Social Impact & Community Investment

Monitor and assess the social economic and environmental impacts of project activities.

Contribute to the development of community investment strategies that create long-term value including workforce development education partnerships and local business engagement.

Collaborate with project leadership to ensure community priorities are integrated into project planning and delivery.

Workforce Development Alignment

Engage with workforce development institutions unions and training organizations to support project staffing strategies.

Maintain a strong understanding of regional workforce capabilities training pipelines and political dynamics influencing workforce initiatives.

Guide conversations toward practical sustainable outcomesbalancing long-term workforce development with immediate project needs.

Project Integration & Execution Support

Maintain a strong working knowledge and understanding of project scope schedule execution strategy and geographic considerations.

Respond confidently to stakeholder inquiries related to construction logistics and project planning.

Act as a bridge between external stakeholders and internal project teams ensuring alignment and clarity.

Crisis Communication & Risk Management

Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies to manage sensitive issues or community concerns.

Protect community trust and project integrity during high-pressure or rapidly evolving situations.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

Ensure all stakeholder engagement activities comply with applicable regulations permits and Worley standards.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to support transparency and accountability.

What youll bring to the role

Extensive experience in large project delivery and stakeholder engagementideally within energy infrastructure or resource development sectors.

A strong understanding of Alaskas cultural political and economic landscape including Indigenous communities and governance structures.

The ability to operate credibly at a senior levelengaging with executives government leaders and community representatives with confidence and authenticity.

Deep knowledge of community engagement best practices sustainability principles and corporate social responsibility frameworks.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex project information into clear meaningful dialogue.

Proven capability to manage sensitive topics build consensus and maintain stakeholder confidence under scrutiny.

Strong situational awareness and adaptability in dynamic high-visibility environments.

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.

Working knowledge of workforce development systems training institutions and labor dynamics relevant to large-scale projects.

Practical understanding of project delivery and construction execution with the ability to engage in detailed technical discussions when required.

Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms including Microsoft Office and social media channels.
