Public Service Superintendent brochureThe City of Arkansas City Kansas is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking professional to serve as its next Public Services Superintendent.
Reporting directly to the City Manager this executive leadership position oversees the Citys Public Services Department including Streets Stormwater Sanitation and Parks & Facilities operations.
The position provides a unique opportunity to lead essential municipal services while helping guide the long-term planning and maintenance of infrastructure that supports residents businesses and regional employers.
Arkansas City is seeking a leader who brings technical expertise strategic vision and collaborative leadership to continue delivering high-quality public services and infrastructure stewardship.
The Public Services Superintendent provides executive leadership and operational oversight for the Citys Public Services Department.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelors degree in public administration public works management civil engineering technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five years of progressively responsible municipal public works or public services experience
- Three years of supervisory or management experience
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain a Class B CDL within the required timeframe
Preferred qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in public administration engineering or management
- Experience overseeing multiple operational divisions
- Experience with infrastructure planning and capital improvement programs
Compensation and Benefits
$88303 $119468
