Facilities Manager The Hague

Are you ready to lead exceptional teams and deliver outstanding service in the heart of The Hague Join us as a Facilities Manager and become the driving force behind the smooth operation of our dynamic workplaces and residences!

Role Summary

As our Facilities Manager youll oversee all facets of soft and hard services across all official buildings and staff residences. Youll be the local go-to expert for our client working hand-in-hand to understand their needs and consistently elevate our service delivery.

What Youll Do

People Leadership

  • Inspire and guide a talented team of facilities professionals championing growth collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Create an inclusive environment that celebrates teamwork and empowers everyone to excel.
  • Communicate openly and effectively ensuring your team and stakeholders are always in the know.
  • Strategically manage resources so projects and work orders are completed efficientlyand to the highest standard.

Client Partnership

  • Be the trusted main point of contact for our client tackling challenges and exceeding their expectations.
  • Build lasting relationships through regular communication and impactful meetings.
  • Deliver clear insightful updates and reportskeeping clients informed on all aspects of operations performance and budgets.
  • Champion initiatives that enrich client satisfaction and raise the bar for service excellence.

Supplier & Contract Success

  • Forge strong partnerships with suppliers and contractors managing negotiations and monitoring performance to ensure top-quality service.
  • Keep a sharp eye on contract compliance service levels and resolve issues quickly for ongoing improvement.
  • Seamlessly handle the full invoicing and payment process delivering on contracts with best-in-class procedures.
  • Proactively manage critical performance keeping account management in the loop.
  • Provide timely monthly quarterly and annual reports and step in fast to address any incidents.
  • Understand client contracts SLAs and KPIsensuring service always meets (or exceeds!) agreed standards.

Financial Stewardship

  • Achieve all location financial objectives maintaining full control and transparency.
  • Consistently deliver clear reporting on finances and performance.

Health & Safety Champion

  • Ensure our workplaces meet all statutory and client-required health and safety standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance among your team at all times.

Soft Services Excellence

  • Oversee all soft servicesincluding cleaning landscaping pest control and waste managementto deliver a sparkling safe environment.
  • Closely manage staff residences in line with client policy health and safety requirements.

Hard Services Reliability

  • Take charge of all critical building systems (HVAC electrical plumbing fire safety) for seamless operations and compliance.
  • Execute top-notch preventive maintenance and oversee repairs upgrades and inspections coordinating closely with contractors and suppliers.

  • A sharp detail-oriented approach to operations metrics and compliance.
  • Proven leadershipmotivating teams driving collaboration and cultivating a positive workplace.
  • Outstanding communication skills in both Dutch and Englishwith an ability to convey complex concepts simply and powerfully.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Expertise in prioritizing and managing multiple projects to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service focus and keen eye for detail.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office Suite; quick to pick up new digital tools.

Your Experience

  • 3-5 years leading in facilities management with hands-on team leadership and development.
  • Fluent in Dutch and Englishwritten and spoken.
  • Professional with Microsoft Office and relevant property/facilities systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Facilities Management or equivalent experience.

Eligibility

  • You must have an EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands.
