Job Summary

As a Senior Engineer – BIM Mechanical you will be responsible for the detailed development and coordination of HVAC and mechanical systems using Building Information Modelling (BIM) across a variety of high-profile projects in the North America and Canada region. This role requires advanced technical expertise in mechanical modelling and multidisciplinary coordination using industry-standard tools and practices. Experience on fabrication level modelling coordination project is must. Experience on production of spools drawings and database updating/creation will be preferred. Experience on CAD fabrication is added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Handle the team of BIM engineers work allocation quality checking of models drawings and responsible for delivery of the project deliverables.

  • Perform advanced 3D BIM modeling for HVAC and mechanical systems using Revit MEP fabrication in accordance with project requirements and international standards.

  • Independently interpret and model from MEP drawings mark-ups schematics and design documentation.

  • Coordinate mechanical systems with other disciplines (electrical plumbing architectural structural) using Revit and Navisworks.

  • Execute detailed clash detection tracking and resolution processes using Navisworks Manage and BIM 360.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality Revit models ensuring accuracy consistency and compliance with BIM execution plans and client standards.

  • Prepare HVAC layouts sections details equipment schedules and annotated views as required for project deliverables.

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems within the overall building design.

  • Work with Revit Fabrication tools to support the development of fabrication-ready models and deliverables.

  • Support BIM documentation efforts including the generation of as-built models coordination reports and issue logs.

  • Stay updated with the latest BIM tools processes and standards relevant to HVAC and mechanical design.


Necessary Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical BIM modeling and coordination on North America and Canada region projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit MEP AutoCAD Revit Fabrication Navisworks and BIM 360.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC system design and coordination including relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE etc.).

  • Solid knowledge of plumbing and electrical interface coordination in BIM environments.

  • Excellent attention to detail organization and ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid work setting.

  • Good communication skills for technical discussions and coordination with other team members and disciplines.
