Job Summary
Job Description:St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the schools summer care program. This is a seasonal part-time position working with students K-8th grade. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in summer care that advance the intellectual emotional social and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered safe and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership staff and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position. Schedule: -Training start date June 1st (or before if available) -Starting with students June 8th -Monday Thursday -7:30am-5:30pm -Last day of summer care August 13thCompensation: -$22.00 per hourBenefits:-Employees will earn 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked Planned breaks: Fridays off in the summer 1 week 4th of July -Retirement plan-Professional learning assistance-Daily planning time-Discounted daily in-house lunchesCandidates must meet the following qualifications: -Bachelors Degree in education child development or related field-Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting-Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred-Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies-Strong organizational communication and leadership skills-Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting-Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars in-services and training-Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church-CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)-Must have or willing to take Virtus Protecting Gods Children TrainingPlease send electronic letters of interest and resumes along with an employment application ( to: St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School Sarah Kleinschmit Early Childhood Director
