Whats the job

The Course Quality & Accreditation Manager leads comprehensive course review and re-accreditation processes across the university. This role is central to ensuring course quality regulatory compliance and continuous improvement across the full course lifecycle.

You will work closely with academic leaders to enable high-quality course design and decision-making acting as a trusted advisor and facilitator rather than the final decision-maker.


Principle accountabilities (but not limited to):

  • Course Review Leadership: Manage and deliver comprehensive course reviews (CCR) overseeing 3545 reviews annually across multiple disciplines

  • Accreditation & Compliance: Lead course re-/accreditation activities aligned with TEQSA and internal governance requirements

  • Market & Data Analysis: Conduct market viability and course performance analysis using internal and external data to inform academic decisions

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Executive Deans academic staff and Academic Administration to drive course quality outcomes

  • Facilitation & Influence: Enable academic teams to improve courses acting as a sounding board and guide rather than owning academic decisions

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure alignment with the Higher Education Standards Framework and internal quality processes

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements across course review and accreditation workflows

  • Documentation & Governance: Prepare high-quality accreditation documentation reports and submissions

What your day might look like:

  • Managing multiple course reviews simultaneously with clear timelines and milestones

  • Analysing course data and market insights to support recommendations

  • Facilitating discussions with academics on course improvements

  • Coordinating accreditation documentation and governance processes

  • Working independently while collaborating across faculties and teams

Who you are:

  • Masters degree (PhD desirable but not essential)

  • 5 years experience in higher education quality accreditation curriculum design or academic development

  • Strong working knowledge of TEQSA and regulatory frameworks

  • Experience preparing accreditation documentation and working on course reviews

  • Ability to translate regulatory standards into practical course design outcomes

  • Highly organised able to manage high volumes of work and competing priorities

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills particularly with senior academic leaders

  • Background in learning design or academic development

  • Ability to operate effectively in evolving environments with manual or developing systems
