A leading aerospace operation supporting OEM programs is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor with deep expertise in sheet metal aircraft assembly to lead a critical shop-floor recovery initiative in Chihuahua Mexico.
This role requires a strong operational leader capable of driving execution coaching teams stabilizing production and enforcing aerospace assembly best practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily execution of the production recovery plan
- Coordinate and direct Workplace Coaches across all shifts
- Prioritize critical shop-floor issues and production constraints
- Ensure compliance with aerospace assembly standards and build specifications
- Drive continuous improvement and corrective actions
- Support technical knowledge transfer to local leadership and operators
- Provide status updates risk assessments and action plans to Boeing and supplier stakeholders
Technical Focus Areas
Candidates must demonstrate strong practical experience in:
- Aircraft sheet metal assembly
- Blueprint & drawing interpretation
- Drilling filling sealing and fastening
- FOD prevention and control
- Conforming aerospace assembly processes
- Manufacturing quality and production discipline
Requirements
- Fluent English & Spanish
- Aerospace manufacturing background
- Strong leadership presence and communication skills
- Proven experience supervising aircraft assembly operations
- Ability to work directly on the production floor and influence teams
- Experience supporting recovery ramp-up or performance improvement initiatives preferred
Ideal Background
- Boeing Airbus Bombardier Gulfstream Safran Bell Embraer or Tier 1 aerospace suppliers
- Structures assembly aerostructures fuselage wing or metallic components
- Production supervision manufacturing engineering or shop-floor leadership
