The FTL Trucking Procurement Manager will lead end to end procurement for India road transportation driving cost leadership vendor performance and operational reliability across all middle mile corridors. The role requires strong expertise in the trucking industry deep PAN India vendor relationships and the ability to manage high value procurement portfolios. The manager will be responsible for negotiations contract governance market intelligence and supporting commercial teams during RFQs. This role works closely with Product Finance Legal and Operations to ensure procurement strategies align with business growth and Maersk ground Freight objectives. Strong analytical skills TCO knowledge should cost modelling and proficiency in digital tools are essential. Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory.
- Manage complex procurement projects within India Operations ensuring cost commercial and operational alignment.
- Integrate Contract Management frameworks to secure cost leadership compliance and superior supplier performance.
- Lead negotiations and finalize SLAs with FTL trucking vendors across India.
- Drive problemsolving analytical evaluation and databased insights for procurement and business teams.
- Conduct supplier market analysis and maintain strong Indiawide market intelligence for the trucking industry.
- Build and manage a strong PAN India vendor network (regional national players).
- Support customer RFQs with pricing cost models and market inputs.
- Use digital tools for procurement efficiencyrate repositories dashboards techenabled vendor management.
- Leverage TCO analysis cost breakdowns and shouldcost modelling for decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with Middle Mile Product Finance Legal Operations and Global Category teams.
- Travel across India to visit vendors operational hubs and key markets.
Required Experience
- 58 years in Road Transportation / Logistics / Trucking / Supply Chain.
- Minimum 2 years of core Procurement experience.
- Experience managing annual procurement spend of INR 200500 Cr (or equivalent USD).
- Demonstrated expertise in FTL trucking procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Strong PAN India vendor relationships.
- Proven ability to handle customer RFQs endtoend.
- High proficiency in tech tools digital procurement systems and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of TCO should-cost modelling and cost benchmarking.
- Mandatory language fluency: English Hindi.
