About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fabrication assembly and installation of sheet metal products.

The Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for reading and interpreting plans measuring and cutting materials and using various tools and equipment to shape and form sheet metal into finished products. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans sketches and specifications to determine the layout and fabrication of sheet metal products
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
• Cut shape and form metal sheets using various tools and equipment such as shears brakes and rollers
• Weld solder or bolt metal parts together to assemble products
• Install finished products on site ensuring proper fit and alignment
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy making any necessary adjustments or repairs
• Maintain tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working condition
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Attributes:

• Completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment
• Proficient in the use of hand tools power tools and various metal fabrication machinery
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials

About You:

You will be a qualified sheet metal worker or boilermaker with fabrication addition to being qualified (or having significant industry experience) you will:

Be competent at welding multiple materials

Using sheet metal fabrication and formation devices such as rollers etc

Have experience in on-site installation

Great team player

Remuneration of between $30-$39/hour plus Superannuation to be discussed and agreed based on qualifications experience and the ability to take on supervisory roles on site.
