The Principal Engineer is a senior-level position responsible for leading and overseeing the design implementation and management of an organizations information security program. This role typically requires a blend of deep technical expertise leadership skills and strategic thinking. Will develop and contribute to implementation of Governance model for Security practice including but not limited to Azure Cloud & O365. Works with key stakeholders to understand their needs and to approve system and architectural decisions. Will develop and sustain metrics for measuring the maturity of security operations and security posture. Performs internal investigations including data loss security incidents or other internal matters. Exercise a high degree of discretion confidentiality and respect for privacy when conducting. Investigations. Identify and mitigate insider risks in our infrastructure and processes and support other general insider risk and eDiscovery operations.
This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Womens and Families Hospital.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Sciences or Business Administration Preferred
Experience
8 years experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and
applications Required
8 years experience with risk assessment tools technologies and methods Required
General Experience with communicating network security issues to peers and management Required
General Experience Previous Experience with planning researching and developing security policies standards
and procedures Required
General Experience Previous experience with several technical security disciplines such as SIEM IDS EDR
network security vulnerability management or security hardening Required
General Experience Previous experience with Active Directory and Azure Required
Licenses
Cert Info Sys Security Prof Preferred
GIAC Cert Incident Handler Preferred
GIAC Penetration Tester Preferred
GIAC Cert Forensic Examiner Preferred
