As a Lead Diesel Mechanicat SAM by Via you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on buses automotive equipment and shop equipment.
What Youll Do:
- Direct highly varied and complex operations related to vehicle and equipment service
- Repair and/or replace any subsystem associated with heavy medium and/or light duty SAM coaches and automotive equipment
- Work with other maintenance workers drivers and transportation supervisors
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
Who You Are:
- 7-10 years of mechanic experience
- Possess knowledge of the design adjustment operation maintenance and repair of systems and subsystems of SAM coaches and related shop equipment
- Able to work on their feet eight hours per day lift 100 pounds and carry parts equipment and supplies
- Class AA and ASE Certified
- Hold a valid SD drivers license
- Able to obtain a CDL permit
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical
- High school diploma or GED equivalent including trade or vocational school. Additional training at manufacturers schools courses or seminars is a plus.
- Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies clean MVR no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions and no more than 2 speeding tickets
Compensation and Benefits
- Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience knowledge and skills.
- Salary Range: $37.32 / hour
