Field Sales Specialist - North Carolina
Our client a leading publisher of world language products is seeking a dedicated and driven sales individual to join their team. This person would be covering an assigned territory and would have a high interest inlanguage education building relationships with new and current clients and being part of a dynamic sales team. The successful person in this role is someone who loves networking building relationships winning new business and delivering on client expectations. This person would also have excellent territory management consultative-selling presentation and active listening skills.
This role manages theNorth Carolina selling Higher Education world language learning ELL and ESL products into colleges and universities.
Candidates must currently live within or near the city of Raleigh or Charlotte North Carolina. Relocation is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently to achieve sales quotas
- Establish andmaintainstrong partnerships with key higher education professionalsto develop a strong understanding of customer needs
- Deliver impactful and engaging digital andlive presentationsthatshowcasehow oursolutionscan help solve their challenges andachieve learning outcomes
- Partner with sales support team members to meet customer needs
- Ensure data accuracy in our CRM and other tools through consistentutilizationfor effective territory analysisplanningand account management
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree minimum
- 2-3 years of experience inaconsultativesales business development or account management role within the education technology (ed-tech) languagelearningor publishing industry
- Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
- Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills
- Excellent relationship building prospecting territory building interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts
- Willingness to travel up to 50%-70% depending on the need and time of year to industry events customer locations throughout the territoryand company meetings
Preferred Skills:
- Experience teaching language courses in Higher Education
- Hands-on working knowledge of
- Proficiency in Spanish German French or Italian
- Advanced degree

Salary Range:$60-70k annual base salary range.
This position is salaried and is eligible for sales incentives based on employee and organizational performance.
