Job Summary

The Relationship Manager develops leads and contributes to the growth and profitability of consumer and small commercial business through the management of the branch portfolio including deposits loans fees and expenses. This role is responsible for leading coaching and motivating the branch team to deliver exceptional customer service by providing tailored solutions and referrals. The major focus of this position is on business development with the minority of responsibility dedicated to managing the banking center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and profitability of consumer and small commercial portfolios by managing deposits loans fees and expenses.
  • Lead coach and motivate the branch team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business goals.
  • Develop and deepen customer relationships through needs-based selling of products and services.
  • Focus on business development activities to expand the customer base and increase revenue.
  • Manage the banking center operations ensuring efficiency and compliance (approximately 30% of role).
  • Identify opportunities for referrals and cross-selling to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to improve results.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in relationship management within consumer and small commercial banking.
  • Strong leadership and team coaching abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
  • Knowledge of banking products services and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and portfolio management skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on profitability and growth.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years relevant experience required (retail customer service and/or financial services industry).
  • Business development skills including ability to conceptualize and implement strategies.
