The endocrinology service line is supported by a multidisciplinary team including primary care providers cardiology nephrology and nutrition services ensuring comprehensive management of endocrine and metabolic disorders.

Position Overview

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist (MD/DO) to join its growing outpatient-focused practice in Shelton Connecticut.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity primarily focused on managing a wide range of endocrine conditions in an outpatient setting with minimal inpatient responsibilities. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong patient panel within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Evaluate diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders including diabetes thyroid disease osteoporosis adrenal disorders and pituitary conditions
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient care with a focus on long-term disease management and prevention
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialty providers to coordinate patient care
  • Interpret diagnostic studies including hormone assays imaging and metabolic testing
  • Educate patients regarding lifestyle modifications medication management and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine required
  • Fellowship training in Endocrinology required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  • Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure
  • Open to experienced endocrinologists as well as fellows and new graduates
  • Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach to care
