You will allocate and supervise work across the team manage key supplier relationships provide clear reporting against service levels and act as an escalation point for urgent or sensitive issues while supporting the Head of Litigation on more complex and strategic and your TeamYou will be assisted in the conduct of the litigation by a team of six Customer Litigation Specialists and create a supportive team-based culture where people are coached developed and empowered to deliver good customer outcomes. Working closely with the Head of Litigation and the Litigation and Complex Disputes Lead you will also partner with colleagues across Group Legal Operations Compliance and Risk as well as external firms and advocacy providers to improve ways of working and drive a Litigation Lawyer you will:This is a hands-on leadership role with strategic reach. Day to day youll be: Leading with confidence managing coaching and developing a team of six paralegals to deliver high-quality compliant litigation outcomes. Ensuring compliance excellence providing robust legal oversight in line with the Legal Services Act Consumer Duty FCA/SRA regulations and guidance the CPR and VBG policies. Owning delivery allocating and supervising work and monitoring as a trusted escalation point advising on complex customer calls and correspondence with professionalism and empathy. Driving continuous improvement reviewing processes and procedures to reduce risk improve efficiency and deliver better customer outcomes. Representing the team externally building and maintaining strong relationships with third-party suppliers and external litigation Were Looking ForYoull thrive in this role if you bring strong litigation expertise combined with a genuine passion for people leadership and customer outcomes. Youll stand out if you:Essential: A qualified lawyer ideally with at least 3 years PQE in financial litigation Enjoy leading and developing teams with proven experience managing paralegals or similar case-handling a solid working knowledge of the CCA CPR and FCA regulations (CONC/DISP) and can apply them confidently in a fast-paced decisive resilient and organised comfortable managing high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy and with clarity and impactable to build rapport with customers colleagues regulators and external providers motivated by improving ways of working embedding best practice and creating a positive supportive team culture aligned to Vanquis : Experience within the Motor Finance industry would be highly We HireWe use AI to help organise applications and surface early matches but all decisions are made by humans.
