Job Details:

Location: Watertown NY Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM 7:30 PM

Schedule: Every other weekend & every other holiday

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Radius Rule: 100-mile radius (no local candidates within 100 miles)

Start Date: May 26 2026

TRAVELER RADIUS RULE: 100 miles

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate is experienced in perioperative nursing maintains a sterile environment and delivers safe high-quality patient care in the OR setting. Strong clinical judgment adaptability and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Key Requirements

Active New York State RN license

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

BLS certification required

ACLS preferred

Must be able to work rotating shifts and on-call schedule

Experience & Skills

Recent Operating Room experience strongly preferred

Candidates without recent OR experience must complete and pass the

AORN Perioperative 101 Program (6 months) as a condition of employment

Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance

Experience with surgical instrumentation and OR equipment

Ability to recognize and respond to safety risks and patient needs

Basic understanding of lethal dysrhythmia interpretation

Strong clinical assessment critical thinking and problem-solving skills
