Responsibilities:
- Act as the subject matter expert for all RTR (Record to Report) processes ensuring alignment with local regulatory and statutory requirements in South Africa.
- Oversee and manage the deliverables of the outsourced RTR team ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all outsourced functions.
- Take ownership of complex bank reconciliations ensuring all reconciliation issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly prior to month-end close.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all cash book transactions including salary and ad-hoc payments processed via the bank.
- Manage the upkeep and accuracy of all bank mandates and establish strong working relationships with key banking relationship managers.
- Ensure timely processing and reconciliation of payments related to expense claims (e.g. Concur processing) and corporate credit cards.
- Proactively collaborate with service providers to identify recommend and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the RTR function.
- Support the Financial Accountant with ad-hoc tasks requiring specialized knowledge in treasury accounting and regulatory payments (e.g. VAT PAYE).
