Domain Project Lead / Security Practice
The infotainment system with its many external interfaces (e.g. LTE WiFi Bluetooth USB) and high software complexity has an extensive threat exposure. As automotive security architects and security practice experts we work passionately to protect our cars from attackers. Ours is a defensive cybersecurity team responsible for driving all development teams in the company to follow security best practices understand and use Threat Modeling and provide security trainings. We also actively look for potential security issues create automated security tests inside our CI systems and guide teams on how to prevent identified security issues.
Our job is an exciting mix of security evaluation software development and security consulting.
We need your help to secure the infotainment systems against attacks whether they come over the air or from attackers with physical access to the vehicle.
As Domain Project Lead for the Security Practice you drive cross-functional delivery across multiple software teams and sub-organizations. The Security Practice reviews the threat modeling results of the development teams provides feedback tracks required security measures and ensures that identified gaps are addressed within the agreed timelines.
In this role you are responsible for establishing security best practices across all development teams in the company guiding them in the understanding and use of Threat Modelling methodology and providing security trainings. This includes ensuring that threat models are provided on time review comments are properly incorporated mitigation measures are tracked to closure and open issues are escalated when deadlines or quality expectations are at risk.
You act as the central coordination point between development teams the Security Practice and relevant decision-making stakeholders. A key part of the role is to create transparency on delivery status identify blockers early and actively drive resolution through structured follow-up clear prioritization and escalation where needed.
You are also responsible for regular status reporting to upper management including the tracking of missing threat models the implementation status of identified measures and the overall maturity of security-related deliverables across the project.
You are a core member of the software management team with responsibility for targets milestones quality and timelines within the Security Practice scope.
Basic requirements and Education
- University degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study (./ ./ ./ Ph.D.).
- At minimum 5 years of working experience in program technology or software project management.
- Proven track record in planning organizing and executing through others.
- Strong experience in leading large distributed software development teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience with different software domains on Linux systems preferably in context of embedded devices.
- Experience in delivering products that include open source components is beneficial.
- Experience in Security (in Particular Linux and Android Security) is a strong plus.
- Willingness to make hard decisions about software development scope and priorities.
