Engineering Manager / Tech Lead Agentic Commerce

Agentic shopping will change how people discover decide and pay and were putting together the team that will make it real. Were looking for an Engineering Manager / Tech Lead who can help shape both the team and the technology behind it.

This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. We need a hands-on builder: Someone who can lead people set technical direction write code make decisions and help turn messy ideas into working software.

What youll do

Youll take a leading role in our Agentic Commerce team in the new Merchants area. The team is building Vipps MobilePays shopping assistant and exploring how AI agents can help users discover decide and buy while helping merchants grow in a new era of commerce.

Youll be responsible for both people and technology: Helping engineers grow creating clarity setting direction and building a team culture with high ownership speed and trust.

Youll also be hands-on. Youll ideate build integrate test break fix and ship. Youll help turn emerging tech and LLM-driven concepts into robust prototypes and customer-ready products used across the Nordics.

Youll help define our technical strategy: How we build scalable services work with AI tools and agentic systems integrate with merchants and partners and make the right calls on architecture quality security and speed.

Youll also help the team work in a new way. AI tooling is changing how software is built and we want someone curious and pragmatic about how engineering teams can use AI to move faster without lowering the bar.
