Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
The Piper Center for Vocation and Career is seeking a Content and Communications Specialist to develop and update a number of web pages and create other communications content in preparation for the academic year. The position is part time and seasonal: 15-20 hours per week for 8-12 weeks based on the persons availability.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to a variety of project-related communications data management content creation research and information gathering and organization
Greet visitors and answer phones at the front desk
Perform duties related to the general operations of the Center
Perform benchmarking against other leading career centers to determine best practices
Perform data management and analysis (depending on skills and interests of the student)
Approve jobs and employers on Handshake
Contribute to office organization
Contribute ideas that help the Piper Center improve its operations and serve students
This position is expected to work 3-4 hours per day not exceeding 20-25 hours a week.
All work will be completed in-person in the Piper Center office.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and meet deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well independently and to collaborate effectively with staff
Familiarity with Piper Center events and resources is strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Strong work ethic and reliability
Flexibility and desire to work in a fluid environment assisting where needed
Positive attitude and interest in the Piper Centers programs and resources
