About the role:

Were looking for an Advancement Coordinator to be the engine behind our fundraising operations. This is a part-time hybrid-friendly position at the heart of a collaborative mission-driven team - and were flexible on schedule for the right person. Please do note that occasional on-site presence will be required for events which may fall on evenings or weekends and would be communicated in advance.
Youll own the schools donor database manage gift processing and acknowledgment support major fundraising campaigns and help ensure donors feel genuinely valued. This role pairs meaningful work with real flexibility - a rare find.

You will be kept busy with:
  • Managing and maintaining the schools donor database ensuring confidentiality accuracy and completeness of donor records.
  • Processing gifts and donations in a timely manner including gift acknowledgment and donor recognition.
  • Generating and distributing regular reports on fundraising progress donor trends and campaign results to inform decision-making.
  • Providing administrative support for fundraising meetings and events including calendaring scheduling space logistics coordination and communication with guests and vendors.
  • Assisting in donor stewardship activities including communication recognition and engagement efforts to cultivate lasting relationships with supporters.
  • Supporting the creation of fundraising materials communications and appeals to engage donors and enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Support with managing the Advancement team budget keeping track of all expenses in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing and managing monthly credit card expenses using the Concur system.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Schedule & Working Conditions:

You will work a part-time schedule year-round during business hours Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm as determined in collaboration with your supervisor in-person on our Carmel Valley campus. There may be times when you will be required to work outside of these hours for events and programs.

The role operates in a typical school environment that may be busy and occasionally noisy. It requires the ability to sit stand walk and perform general office tasks as well as the occasional physical activity such as lifting or moving materials (up to 50 lbs).

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or 2-4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience in database management in a non-profit setting experience in Raisers Edge preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact professionally with donors volunteers and colleagues
  • Proficiency in fundraising software and Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and principles in the context of an educational institution is a plus.

Compensation:

The anticipated range for this position is $26 to $30 per hour. The offer to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and years of experience; training; practical knowledge; and education.
