Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Criminal Justice (Applicant Pool)
Reporting Structure: Department Chair Criminal Justice
Division: College of Arts and Humanities
Job Summary:
Adjunct faculty are responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate Criminal Justice
courses in face-to-face hybrid or online formats. Candidates must demonstrate subject-matter
expertise effective teaching practices and a commitment to student success
Duties/Responsibilities:
Teach assigned Criminal Justice courses
Prepare syllabi and course materials aligned with departmental standards
Utilize the institutions Learning Management System
Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance
Provide timely feedback and hold required office hours
Comply with university policies and academic integrity standards
Education and Experience:
Masters degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field
Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Criminal Justice
College-level teaching experience or relevant professional experience in the field
Preferred Skills Experience and Education:
Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline
Experience teaching online and/or hybrid courses
Expertise in areas such as Criminology Corrections Policing Criminal Law Research
Methods Juvenile Justice or Criminal Justice Reform
Physical Requirements:
Working environment is a normal business office setting.
Demands normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
Must be mobile throughout the campus.
Typically the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However there may be some walking standing bending or carrying light items.
