About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor Short Range PlanningtheEngineer-in-Training(EIT)Mining is responsible for ensuring the engineering department has the as-built data required for planning and design work and that mine operations has accurate controls in place to execute the mine plan. This person will hold a key role in continuous improvement of existing systems in addition to development integration and reliability of new systems. This role follows a 4x4 days schedule.
At EVRan EIT willdevelop over a 4-year program with rotationsapproximatelyevery 18 to 24 months giving you the experience and exposure to build well-rounded skills to become a successful professional engineer.

In this role you will:

  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

  • Work within our safety culture sustainability strategyandenvironmental commitments

  • Provide daily survey support to the Engineering and Operations groups

  • Complete accurate month end and quarter end surveys with volume calculations

  • Complete project work to support the Engineering team

  • Prepare upload and download files to mobile field systems

  • The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a practical understanding of openpit mining

  • Support as requiredin wide ranges of mine planning including pit and dump designanddrill and blastsupport

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mining Geological Engineeringor related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Registered or eligible to register with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC);EVRwill support eligible employees with their EGBC registration

  • Strong digital literacy in mining related software

  • Minimum one year experience in an industrial environment;previous experience in open pit truck and shovel operations isan asset

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent

$91300 - $126800 a year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
