Job Summary
AEROSPACE WELDER
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welds metal parts together using both MIG and TIG processes
- Operates Robotic Welding Machine
- Must be able to perform vertical up maneuver
- Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Dimensionally and visually inspect parts for adherence to customer requirements
- Reads routers blueprints and sketches of part to determine dimensional specifications and operating requirements
- Performs required preventative maintenance procedures on assigned welding equipment within specified time frames
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- You must have at least 5 years of Tig Welding Experience
- Current certification to D17.1 preferred
- Blueprint reading and ability to interpret welding symbols and call outs
- You must have at least 2 years of Aerospace Tig Welding on Inconnel Stainless Steel and Aluminum
- Experience with Robotic Welding
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English as required.
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
- Ability to weld specific metals; Steel and aluminum
- Ability to weld thickness ranging from .032-.090

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
