JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
University Park Career Services is seeking an experienced part-time worker to facilitate career workshops and support our summer programming on a limited as-needed basis.
Job duties to include:
Deliver career-related workshops to student organizations classes and campus groups
Present on a variety of career readiness topics using provided templates and outlines
Assist in creating updating and customizing workshop materials (slides handouts activities etc.)
Prepare for workshops by reviewing request forms rehearsing content and tailoring sessions to audience needs
Be well versed in Penn State Career Services programs and resources in order to confidently answer student questions and make appropriate referrals
Support other Career Services programming/outreach/events as needs arise
Requirements qualifications and/or competencies:
- Previous experience as Career Services workshop presenter/graduate-level intern required
Schedule:
- Will vary depending on staffing and departmental needs (approx 5 hrs/wk)
Compensation:
The starting rate for this job is $15/hr.
