Were seeking a passionate evidence-informed couples and relationship therapist / counsellor with a genuine interest in supporting neurodiverse relationships (including ADHD autism dyslexia and other forms of neurodivergence). About the Role

• Provide relationship and couples therapy to a diverse client base with a particular focus on neurodiverse relationships.
• If youd prefer your caseload can also include individual therapy clients.
• Opportunity to work with adults only or across the lifespan.
• Deliver assessment formulation and treatment planning aligned with best-practice couples therapy models.

Actively participate in supervision peer consultation and ongoing professional development.

• Support couples with communication and conflict patterns intimacy and connection executive functioning related struggles sensory and emotional regulation differences.
• Create an inclusive affirming space where clients can build stronger more resilient and enjoyable relationships contributing to a healthier and more connected community.

This is a part-time employee opportunitywith a minimum commitment of 3 days per week at our Mount Pleasant and / or Canning Vale location.

Contractor arrangementsmay be considered for applicants with considerable experience in couples therapy within a private practice context.

Essential Criteria

• Bachelors degree level qualification inPsychologyCounselling orSocial Work.
• Experience providing relationship or couples therapy
• Knowledge of or strong interest in neurodiversity-affirming practice and working with neurodiverse relationships
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive affirming practice with diverse relationships and identities (e.g. LGBTQIA clients gender diversity and diverse relationship structures) including a willingness to undertake ongoing learning and supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills cultural humility and an inclusive non-judgmental approach
• Commitment to ethical practice confidentiality and high-quality record-keeping
• Current professional indemnity/liability insurance policy
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtainone)

Desirable Criteria

• Eligibility for relevant professional registration/membership (e.g. PsyBA AHPRA ACA PACFA AASW as applicable)
• Evidence of current and ongoing entitlement to work in Australia without restriction
• Training or certification in evidence-based couples modalities (e.g. emotionally focused couples therapy Gottman methodPACT neurodiverse couples counselling/coaching)Z4
• Experience supporting autistic/ADHD adults and an understanding of masking burnout sensory needs and executive functioning impacts on relationships
• Confidence working with co-occurring presentations (e.g. anxiety depression trauma histories) within a relationship therapy framework
