A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate individual ready to join the senior leadership team of the wholly owned Civil Large Engine MRO facility Engine Overhaul Services.
Engine Overhaul Services (Derby) is a collection of three facilities in the Derby Campus the main facility (EOS) the Aftermarket Support Facility (ASF) and the Aftermarket Logistics Facility (ALF). Across the three facilities 750 employees operating 20 hours a day 365 days a year we maintain all modern Trent engines and a strategy to optimise overhaul methods EOS is fundamental to the future success of Civil Aerospace.
It is business critical that this facility not only satisfies network capacity targets through effective production planning constraint management and flawless execution but also balances to resource strategic capability work and support the wider MRO network to ensure cost and capacity growth objectives are met. We are looking for a Head of Planning Control and Customer Operations with an ability to inspire and lead a large multi-functional team.
What you will be doing:
The Head of Planning Control and Customer Operations reporting to the General Manager is the conductor of the facility; critically important to the operational high performance and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for induction planning work-scope management customer relationship management and the control of all material to and from this facility.
Specific Accountabilities include:
Safety Ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained within the facility casting the expected senior leadership shadow for the workforce.
Quality Drive compliance to Part 145 regulations with particular focus on material control (parts and tooling) and production planning.
Cost Through work-scope control and material purchase decisions this role has the primary levers to manage Shop Visit cost within EOS. Drive workforce efficiency and productivity improvements through constraint management productivity reporting and forecasting.
Delivery Agree the medium to long-term plan for this facility through the Sales Inventory and Operational Planning process and enabling the facility to deliver on these commitments through effective production planning material control and customer management.
People Ensure the business is effectively resourced and trained to enable delivery targets to be met in a safe and compliant manner. As a senior leader in the facility help drive a culture of innovation teamwork and positive engagement within EOS.
Who we are looking for:
An energetic passionate and resilient individual able to cope with the daily demands of an operation whilst being able to strategically plan for the long-term
Operational planning experience ideally with an appreciation of SAP enterprise systems
An experienced leader able to lead and motivate a larger multi-disciplined team and be part of a high performing senior leadership team.
A great communicator able to influence a variety of audiences including internal and external stakeholders
