Finance Planning Senior Manager

As a financial technology service/company moving billions of GBP of customer money in over 70 countries Wise must have bulletproof financials. We need timely accurate and scalable financial data to be compliant with regulations and make accurate business decisions to support our growth and financial objectives.

Due to continued and rapid growth were on the hunt for an experienced Finance professional to join our FP&A team in London. Youll be part of the team that helps pilot the rocket ship.

Were looking for a Senior Manager to join the Financial Resources Forecasting & Analysis  team  part of Wises FP&A this team you will be at the heart of our most critical regulatory and strategic projects. You will coordinate efforts across FP&A Strategic Finance Banking Treasury Risk and Financial Controllers to ensure our growth is backed by robust forecasting and expert capital and liquidity planning. 

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating efforts across multiple teams including FP&A Strategic Finance Banking Treasury Risk and Financial Controllers to produce rolling group and entity forecasts Key regulatory forecasts for ICARA/ILAAP as well as corporate finance models to assess how we should efficiently structure the business going forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for group/entity forecasts new entity launches and new product offerings.

• Corporate finance Models: Manage models and outputs associated with corporate finance scenario forecasting.

• Business Partnering: Develop a deep understanding of Wises business drivers to provide high-quality insights to stakeholders in Risk BankingTreasury and regional finance teams.

• Process Innovation: Help us move away from legacy tools and processes as we continue to automate and leverage new technologies to make processes more efficient.

• Capital Efficiency and allocation: Monitor capital and liquidity headroom modelling strategies to improve efficiency across the group and entities.

Our finance team is spread across the globe but mainly in London and Tallinn so do expect a lot of video-calls. Your work will be instrumental in delivering key insights on the financial prospects of the company as well as improving our knowledge control and reporting of key forecast outlooks.

A bit about you:

• Regulated Environment Expert: You have a solid background in Banking Asset Management or Fintech with a working knowledge of prudential regulations (e.g. CRR IFPR).

• Model Architect: You are an expert at building three-statement financial models (P&L Balance Sheet Cash Flow) and understand how macroeconomic factors like interest rates ripple through them.

• Strategic Thinker: You can analyse complex data take informed judgments and communicate them clearly to senior stakeholders.

• Resilient & Adaptable: You are comfortable with uncertainty and can maintain high standards even during high-pressure periods and in an environment that is constantly changing.

• Team oriented outlook: You are a proven supportive team player who values knowledge-sharing and is keen to help others grow.

Mandatory:

• Proven experience producing high quality full financial statement models and outputs

• Experience in a fast-moving multinational financial services environment.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and bring people on the journey.

Bonus Points if you have:

• Hands-on experience with Anaplan or Planful.

• Deep familiarity with IFPR or specific stress scenarios.

• A passion for automating manual processes and right-sizing controls.
