Clinical Development Scientist Image Guided Therapy Devices
The Clinical Development Scientist ensures clinical trial protocols and studies comply with regulatory standards and business strategies producing thorough evaluation reports and regulatory submissions. This role analyzes and troubleshoots complex clinical data issues supports evidence-based decision-making and fosters innovation in study design and evidence generation.
Your role:
- Reviews clinical trial protocols and studies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Aligns clinical activities with business strategies and objectives.
- Evaluates protocols and recommends improvements for greater effectiveness.
- Identifies opportunities to optimize study designs and processes.
- Provides actionable feedback to enhance clinical protocol quality and outcomes.
Youre the right fit if:
- Youve acquired 5 years of experience of related experience.
- You have strong knowledge and understanding of evidence synthesis for the medical device industry (literature reviews gap assessments evidence roadmap etc.); regulatory awareness in the US and EU; and strong clinical research competency. Direct cardiovascular domain expertise strongly preferred.
- You have a Bachelors/masters degree in a life sciences bioengineering or integrated physiology field with related medical device clinical development experience.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- Youre an excellent communicator with an ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders utilizing your clinical expertise and knowledge of research standards and guidelines within the medical device industry.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
This is an office-based role.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Colorado Springs CO is $102000 to $162000.
The pay range for this position in Plymouth MN is $107000 to $170000.
The pay range for this position in San Diego CA is $114000 to $182000.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills experience business needs geographical location and internal equity.
In addition other compensation such as an annual incentive bonus sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
